Old Testament Hell (Sheol)

People have testimonies of going to ‘hell’ and witnessing torture and agony of thousands of people and of demons and of blackness and of stench, etc.
This is not Hell, but what is known in Hebrew as ‘Sheol’ and is touched on in the books of Job and Psalms(?).
That being said, this is the holding place for demons and the dead bound for Hell - that’s why the demons torture you here, because they (still) hate your butt.
Upon God’s final judgement of the Earth, Sheol will be emptied and those bound for Hell (demons and humans, both) will find themselves in the ‘burning lake’ and suffer for eternity (without God, because only with God is suffering prevented.)
PS: A canon has told me that Jesus emptied Sheol when he redeemed the dead 2,000 years ago - but if that was the case, why would people have experiences or NDE’s of demons walking around torturing people? If the bible teaches of a ‘burning lake’ then this conflicts… as such, I will eventually delve deeper into this topic.
