What is Multimedia Production? (for UT Tyler)

Multimedia production is the evolution of entertainment, and information, within the borders set by technological advancement. While news has always circulated by its own means, man's creative nature has expanded upon the means in-which news (and information) has reached the eyes, ears and senses of the world.
Man's endowed creativity is akin to a ripple within a body of water, and with the evolution of technology that water's surface area expands - and with it, so do the means in which we create & convey art and information, complex or simple.
Multimedia production is man's creative expression through the frontier of technology.
Multimedia production serves the purpose of its creator, by reaching through the receiving party's senses and evoking emotion or instilling information - or keeping the viewer complacent and docile (as the Nazi's discovered with the television during WWII.)
I believe any one production is as unique as it's director, artist, etc. & when you have multiple minds come together on production (ie. a multi-million dollar film,) that is when the largest collective audience is reached in a fashion that it becomes practical in a 'mass appeal' situation...
Whereas if one person, or a much smaller cast, forms a large production it reaches a much smaller audience (forming cult-classics, or perhaps a fleeting topic, or viral video.)
Multimedia production is not limited to 'films' or the culmination of minds, but it is, I believe, limited to our freedoms of expression and the capacity we have to create.
Aside from man's creative inheritance (God reference) is man's desire to be understood through different forms of expression. Much like 'the man in the sky' desires to express himself through His creation, so does man use his creations for expression. The compelling contrast here, in my opinion, is that whatever I am trying to convey through my production is going to be received uniquely by each individual viewer/listener - so while my intent is clear in production (and pre-production,) my end result is a nebulous web with countless 'unpredictable' interpretations (this touches on the 'Beginner's Guide' video we watched in class.
Spirituality aside...
Multimedia production is an ever-evolving form of communication that requires constant adaptation. Where newspapers and print-material was once enough - as humans become increasingly over-stimulated it (most often) now is not... the pace of matters within this field will grant AI a capacity (in terms of pure stimulus/addiction.) that humans can not reach, and much like NVIDIA's inability to return to man-made computer chips (because they allowed AI to continuously improve upon their chips,) AI will also continue to 'perfect' the algorithm of 'addiction' that is so readily threaded throughout much of our technological world...
Rant aside, one thing that AI will not be able to replicate is the depth of human-expression and creativity (fingers crossed) that is so beautifully orchestrated within multimedia production!
Multimedia production, truly, is a beautiful thing - when man is given the tools and freedom to express himself within the moving work of art that comes from the other side of a camera lens (and post-production software, editing and so-on.)
Only through the beauty of the human-mind can a classical orchestral performance bring millions (record sales permitting!) to tears, or can a 1-minute commercial spot during the Superbowl be worth millions of USD (dollars.)
A man's creative expression is what the majority of the world (if not all) rely on to sustain their emotional standard. One man can create something that traumatizes millions causing phobias or fears, while another man can create something that inspires good-will and compassion for life around the globe.
One musical artist may provide an outlet for anger or angst, with lyrics that resound with the listener in those moments, while another musical artist may create a safe emotional space for another listener to find peace and/or well-being within.
During this time, you have factual information and content being pumped-out regularly for anyone and everyone to consume in-between these spouts of 'emotional indulgence.'
I digress, but I must revisit the simplicity of art often being multimedia productions (and just as valid of a emotional/personal experience for some.)
Multimedia production is an expansive form of communication and while it can be objective, such as the news and nonfiction print, it is also often times very subjective and thus its beauty comes through.
